Observe yourself so you could see the world

Not only regarding observing body language but also observing the world. Observing blue sky, green trees, water, and leaves. You need to look into yourself and find an ability to enjoy it, to understand it, to resonate with it.

Let me start this self-toward type of article.

I’d like to point out that very important part of observing body language is observing your own body because after all, you have the same body as you are observing in others so why not to shift a focus from others to your own one. In observing others we are very quick in judging others in the way: He is threatened. She doesn’t trust herself. Oh man, she would kick your ass. He is crazy. He looks like he is carrying shit in his pocket. (Disgust facial expression – not a smell)

This is what we can do. And it is not that easy. But have you ever tried to feel what these stances feel like?

The wonderful ability of our body is to tell us exactly how it feels at the moment, at a particular stance. So at the moment, you would like to read someone and it would make a sense to you, try to stand in the same way he does, and observe yourself! Listen to your body what does it have to say to you? Is this stance dominant? Do you feel dominant? Do you feel submissive? Confused? Cheerful? This is probably what the other person feels like.

This is amazing when I do some facial reading and I don’t know what particular facial expression might mean so I copy it, I do the same and I start feeling what is it about.

Let me show you how to do it.

Mimic this facial expression for just 10 seconds, please.

happiness

How do you feel now? Happy? Great!

And now try this one.

sad facial expression

How do you feel? Happy? I’d be surprised if you’d feel so.

When you extend this theory beyond the facial area.

How much do you think that the entire body language of yourself affects you?

A lot, exactly!

Do you walk like Quasimodo and expect to feel like a James Bond? It’s very unlikely.

Ask yourself a question. How do I feel at the moment? And after you answer the question. Look at yourself how do you stand, move, talk, mimic? And ask another question: Is this what I want to feel like? Does this body language help me to feel the way I want? If the answer is NO change the body language, maybe try to expose your chest more, raise your head, slow down a little, smile more. And then do this process again. If the answer is YES now. Congratulations to you! If the answer is still NO, do it again and again. Try other sets of your body language and go through the process again. And it will work. Pinky promise.

And when you will feel nice your own shoes you can go out geared with the knowledge that you can put yourself in the mood you need at the moment and in case of reading others or making friend you know how to connect to their energy level – by copy-pasting their body language!

Next time more about it!
